Exciting update about the future of SANE services

Exciting update about the future of SANE services

Hello Forumites,

We’re sharing some important (and exciting!) news about the future of SANE’s support services — and we wanted you to be among the first to hear it.

In early 2026, SANE will launch a new-look RecoveryClub program — bringing together the best parts of our current programs into one more connected, flexible, and personalised mental health recovery experience.

As many of you know, our services have always been shaped by the voices, feedback and experiences of our community, and the design of this new program has been guided by what participants have told us matters most to them:

More choice and agency.

Flexibility to go at your own pace, in your own way.

Easier ways to connect to people.

Support and resources that adapt to your needs.

Here’s a sneak peek into what’s coming in the new year:

🌱 A more self-guided, empowering experience. Because recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, you’ll have more freedom to choose what support looks like for you — in a way that feels flexible, and sustainable.

🧩 Mix-and-match support options. Access and combine supports in a way that works best for you. Book your own 1:1 sessions and groups, and access recovery content and resources relevant to your individual needs.

🎯 1:1 support that goes further. We’re strengthening how we deliver individual support so that every session is more purposeful and helpful in helping you take confident steps forward in your recovery.

👥 More group support. With more opportunities for connection and a wider range of topics to meet more experiences and needs.

📚 A robust library of recovery content. Built to help you understand, reflect, learn, and progress at your pace.

💻 A new and improved participant portal. Designed to make it easier to explore resources, access individual support, join groups, track progress and stay connected.

And this is just the beginning, with even more improvements to come over the next two years.

What this means right now

  • We’ve now closed new referrals into the Guided Recovery program so we can focus on building the improved RecoveryClub experience.
  • If you’re already in Guided Recovery, nothing changes for you right now. You’ll still have access to all the 1:1 and group sessions you signed up for, and we’ll support you with transitioning into the upgraded program in the New Year.
  • Forums will remain open, as always — 24/7, peer-led, moderated, and here for you. This community isn’t going anywhere.
  • Our current version of RecoveryClub is also open right now if you want to explore self-guided resources and join groups, while we prepare for the roll out of the new-look service. You can look forward to an exciting portal upgrade and additional features, resources and support options, in early 2026.

If you would like to share feedback about this change, you can share it with us here.

Thank you for thinking of the members and not changing the forums again. I’m still struggling with some of the changes from last time. @ElephantEar3

I agree with your post - yes, yes.  It sounds like the new features (especially the 1:1 support and more group options) will be amazing for progress, but that feeling of "I’m actually bloody like you,

" is the real foundation of this forum. That joy you get when someone just gets your pain is the best medicine. So glad we have a space for both the structured support and the patient, wandering-mind support!
