Re: Inpatient care

@cantcope85 i can't recommend private hospitals individually i think there's about 20 private hospitals in melbourne offering psychiatric groups, and in the public system there are some groups as well if you are case managed, mostly ACT related from my experience (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

DBT groups are usually done as outpatient groups ie you go once a week to a class.

I've been to 2 private psych hospitals and both had lots of options for trauma therapy. One hospiatl in melbourne also has EMDR i believe if you stay inpatient you can access it, and another hospital is hoping to do it in the near future.

Some newer hospitals have very sparse options for groups inpatient. It's usually meditation, art therapy, and talk therapy /psychodeducation on different topics, learning coping skills rather than talking about your feelings.

@cantcope85 i hate cbt, ACT is a different therapy - very diff!

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I'm very into it.

There are private hospitals which do EMDR but a bit of a waitlist, but maybe good to get on it?
